Dance
Students will discover the joy of movement through a variety of dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. Through guided instruction and creative exploration, dancers will build coordination, musicality, and confidence while learning how movement can be an expression of praise and worship. Activities may include rhythm exercises, themed creative elements, and short choreographed routines. The session will conclude with a performance opportunity to celebrate all that students have learned.
Graphic Design
Students will explore the principles of graphic design with a focus on typography and visual communication. They will learn how font choice, layout, spacing, and hierarchy work together to create effective and engaging designs. Through mini-lessons, creative challenges, and collaborative feedback, students will design projects such as posters and digital layouts. This class encourages students to think creatively while developing practical skills that can be used for communication, ministry, and artistic expression.
Ceramics
Students will learn foundational hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab construction while creating their own unique clay projects. Throughout the process, they will experience the transformation of clay from shaping to bisque firing and glazing. This hands-on class strengthens hand-eye coordination, patience, and problem-solving skills while encouraging creativity and artistic confidence. Students will leave with both finished pieces and a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship involved in ceramic art.
Theatre
Students will explore the art of storytelling through acting, expression, and collaboration while preparing a short performance to present at the end of the session. Through creative exercises, character development, and scene work, students will build confidence and communication skills. The class emphasizes viewing stories through a Biblical worldview, encouraging students to use their creativity and talents as a way to glorify God. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for theatre as both an art form and a meaningful expression of faith.
